Important Adam Skelly Court Update! Interview Inside!

As I mentioned earlier this week, I have some important updates for you on Adam Skelly's legal case. The hearing date has been set and (finally) the showdown we've been waiting for will occur February 25-27 in the New Year.

Below is a brand new interview with Adam Skelly and his team detailing his case and their upcoming hearing.

This court case has had multiple ups and downs, as I will detail below, but Adam's case will finally have its day in court in just 2 months.

They've had multiple "near-death" experiences in this case, including a critical public health expert dropping out, and the government requiring over $30,000 in costs to keep the case going. All of these challenges have been met and overcome by Adam and his team.

As a refresher, Adam Skelly was the one of the first people to stand against the government's draconian lockdowns in 2020. Before Heroic Pastors, before the Freedom Convoy, Adam Skelly exploded onto the scene by opening up his restaurant, Adamson BBQ, defying the lockdowns, and became the first business owner in the history of Canada (even North America) to be arrested for disobeying a public health order (truly shocking).

Adam is the only person left with standing in court to challenge the government's emergency lockdowns during COVID.

Adam had 11 expert reports to be used at trial, but since it's been several years since the original testimony was sworn, the experts had to re-swear their evidence to get it into the record of the new court case. For most of the experts this was no issue, but one particular expert refused to do it. People on Adam's case speculate this expert may be concerned his participation in Adam's case would result in attacks or threats to his career. We don't know for sure, but this could be the case. Of course, those kinds of fears are not unfounded, but it's disappointing this witness dropped out. As you can see, multiple forces are working together against this case.

This witness was critical to the evidentiary basis of the case, so they had to delay until they could find a replacement.

This witness was critical because they were the "Public Health" expert. Many of the other cases had their experts downplayed by the court because even though they were immunologists, or virologists, they weren't "Public Health" experts. Therefore Adam's team deemed it essential to have at least one Public Health expert testify for them, but unfortunately, it was this particular expert that refused to re-swear their original report.

Great news is - they found an even better Public Health expert from the USA - someone out of the reaches of our Canadian regulatory persecution. His name is Dr. David Gortler and he has an amazing pedigree which includes teaching at Yale, working at the FDA, and testifying before Congress several times. He's now a senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation and a fellow at the Brownstone Institute - a group which has put out some excellent material questioning the COVID-19 narrative.

Since Adam, according to his team, is the only person with standing in court to challenge the government's actions during COVID-19, it is critical that this case goes forward. No one else can bring a case to challenge the governments action during covid as the 2 year limitations period has passed, and there are no other cases in the court system already. Adam is our last chance if we want to challenge the "emergency" actions the government took, which were used to lock us all down and shut down our small businesses.

As of right now, Adam needs to raise about $80,000 to finish the case, with about $50,000 being past due. Would you please chip in today to help?

Many of you will remember that early in 2020, during the first lockdowns, Adam made the courageous decision to open up his famous BBQ restaurant in Etobicoke, notwithstanding lockdown orders. The police changed his locks, but he broke into his own restaurant, defying the prohibition. As Adam relates the story, over 250 police were called to deal with the situation, even horse mounted cavalry, and he was hauled off to jail, but not before making news all across the country.

Adam's case is significant because his legal defense is going to the heart of the COVID narrative relied on by the government. Some other cases have failed because the basic tenets of the pandemic have been conceded, and the argument became about whether the government's response was reasonable. Unfortunately, without arguing over the basic definitions of what happened during COVID-19, it's very challenging to win a case.

Adam has has been through many ups and downs including having to shut down his three restaurants. He's now living in Alberta, homesteading and making a living through a small farming operation. This is very challenging work, as you can imagine. Nonetheless, he has not given up on this case, and the events that took so much from him. Adam's case is the only case in North America challenging the premise of the pandemic. He brings 6 PhD Experts (including Dr. Byram Bridle and Dr. Harvey Risch) with EVIDENCE proving the government called an unnecessary emergency, causing many small businesses to go under, plus much more collateral damage. The challenge also argues reasonable alternatives being intentionally ignored in order to push an emergency. After almost 3 years, Adam's challenge still has standing in court. The government does not want this case to be heard.

Multiple excellent details are listed in this interview. For example, Adam has received both provincial and criminal charges for trying to keep his restaurant open, and the outcome of this hearing will impact all of them. Adam says his criminal sentencing hearing has been postponed pending the outcome of this case and that his charges will be "dropped" if he's successful in this hearing. If not, then he will be sentenced.

Also - he says the Toronto Board of Health has come after him in a civil claim, trying to get their $187,000 back that they spent to hire the police to shut down Adam's restaurant! As Adam says: "Remember the videos from that protest? They had the street for like half a km in each direction full of police cars, there must have been 80 police cruisers, both lanes totally blocked...Costco just up the street was packed full of people [shopping normally]...they hired Toronto police...paid them overtime...the mounted unit, [my] whole building covered with police shoulder to shoulder. They spent $187,000 enforcing the closure order, and now they're trying to recover that money from me, we countersued, and brought Eileen Devilla into it, saying she acted outside of her authority as the medical officer of health." It's not enough they destroyed his business, they want him to pay for the police used to do it.

The outcome of this hearing will have a huge impact on the civil lawsuit as well. As you can see - Adam has a lot riding on the outcome of this case.

As for this hearing, as I've mentioned before, they tried various tricks to shut down Adam's case before it even had it's day in court. For example, they required Adam to come up with 30k to even have the case heard, as "security" for costs. But with your help, we helped him meet that challenge, and Adam was able to schedule his hearing for last October! They then required his expert evidence to be resworn, which caused the issue with the one expert who didn't want to recommit.

Adam's team has all the evidence already on record in prior hearings of this case - which based on technicalities has been delayed until now. They cannot argue that they didn't know this evidence at the time because the evidence is already on record. Every action of the government was predicated on their not being reasonable alternatives. Adam's evidence goes directly to this point. Their expert Dr. David Gortler said the government has been willfully blind, and they knew or ought to have known that reasonable alternatives existed.

This case must be heard. Adam was the first business owner in Canada to stand out on a limb, and became a major focal point for the freedom movement in Canada. Please help Adam with his legal fees today!! With your help - this case - 3 years in the making, will be heard!

As I mentioned above, Adam's case is the last chance we have to challenge the government's actions during COVID-19. Statutes of limitations laws prevent most cases from being brought after 2 years. We are well over 2 years out of the pandemic, and no one else to our knowledge has a proceeding in court with standing right now. Adam is our last chance. His case must go forward.

Even though Adam has had to give up his life and restaurants in Ontario, he has a thriving farm and family in Alberta.

It is critical this case go through and have it's day in court. Perhaps the delay has been a blessing, as the more time that passes the more likely the courts are to hear alternative viewpoints on COVID.

Even though he lost his restaurants and his life in Ontario, he's not backing down. His team has done the work, and they have a great case that will be heard.

Adam Skelly's case was one of the first prominent COVID-19 cases filed, and I'm going to do everything in my power to ensure he has his day in court.
